DOT Commercial Driver Exams

The Department of Transportation requires commercial drivers to undergo a series of physicals throughout their career to make sure they are fit to operate their vehicles safely. A standard exam includes Medical History, Vision and Hearing exams, Blood pressure, and Physical test.  A DOT physical exam is valid for up to 24 months in most cases.  I & O Medical Centers are qualified to perform DOT exams. I & O performs DOT physical exams daily for commercial drivers, are familiar with the conditions that preclude driver certification, and are prepared to deal with common medical problems, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and vision and hearing deficits.
